California has it’s own version of Old Faithful in the Northern California town of Calistoga. Every 30 minutes or so the geyser shoots a stream of 350-degree Fahrenheit water 60 feet into the air. The Calistoga geyser is only one of three “old faithful’s” in the world. The grounds around the geyser feature a large picnic area where familys can bring their own picnic lunches. Irvine Park Railroad is located, you guessed it, in Irvine Park in Orange County, California. The train takes you about a mile around the park and lasts about 12 minutes. You travel under a canopy of oak trees and past the park lake on your train journey. Just before you return to the station the train enters a tunnel which to the delight of the children echos the screams and yells of the passengers.
