Irvine Regional Park Orange County CA

Irvine Regional Park is an affordable family destination in Orange County, California.  Admission is by the car load so pack the car full of kids and head off to the park. Things to do at the park include The Irvine Park Railroad, The Orange County Zoo, pony rides, paddle boat rentals, bike rentals (or bring your own) fishing and picnics. There are plenty of shady areas for your picnic underneath the huge Oak trees that grow throughout the park. Bring along your bicycles and you  will have miles of paved trails to explore. Effie Yeaw Nature Center

The Effie Yeaw Nature Center is located inside Ancil Hoffman County Park, 2850 San Lorenzo Way, off Tarshes Drive in Carmichael, California in the Sacramento area. Outside the Center is a Maidu Indian summer village replica. The adjacent 77-acre nature preserve has self-guiding interpretive trails through the riparian woodland and along the American River. Watchable wildlife, including deer, coyotes, migratory songbirds and wild turkeys can be seen when exploring the riverbank trails through the preserves lush oak woodlands.
