Moonlight Beach Encinitas

Moonlight Beach is a favorite California beach for familys.  The beach has picnic facilities, restrooms, snack bar, fire rings and a play area. Lifeguard Towers Open:  10am – 6pm during the Summer Season (late June to Labor Day) Beach Parking:  5am – 10pm Beach Use:  4am – 2am. The “moonlight” in the name of this beach comes from the fact that local residents used to come to the area for midnight picnics early in the early 1900s.  Encinitas is located along six miles of Pacific coastline in northern San Diego County, Encinitas is characterized by coastal beaches, cliffs, flat-topped coastal areas, steep mesa bluffs and rolling hills. Moonlight Beach 400 B Street Encinitas California.
