Old Town San Diego Historic area near downtown San Diego. Musuems, restored buildings, shopping and dining. Weekends there is usually some type of event going on. Free admission and parking.
La Jolla Seven Sea Caves Kayak Tour If you are looking for a family adventure then this trip is for you. All equipment is included plus you get a quick training session. Tours last about 90 minutes and you do get wet!
Chula Vista Nature Center Just seven miles from downtown San Diego the excellent nature center has an aquarium plus lots of hands on exhibits and things to do for the whole family.
Reuben H. Fleet Science Center Located in Balboa Park, San Diego the science center is has Southern California’s only IMAX® Dome Theater and hundreds of hands-on science exhibits for all ages.
Birch Aquarium La Jolla – This is a great aquarium to take the whole family. Not too big fro small children but more than enough things to see to keep everyone happy. Free parking and reasonable rates for entrance to the aquarium.
