Zoos and Animal Parks

San Diego Wild Animal Park - Plan on having a  full day of fun when you visit this huge zoo near Escondido, California. Board the “The Journey into Africa tour” and see wild animals so close you can almost touch them.

Aquarium By the Bay - Located next to Fisherman’s Wharf this medium sized aquarium is perfect for families.  A hands on touch pool and two walk through glass tunnels are the highlights of this San Francisco destination.

LA Zoo and Botanical Gardens Located in Griffith Park in Los Angeles the zoo has 950 animals. Most people come to see the animals but the zoo is also a lush jungle like garden. In the summer there are plenty of shady pathways to protect your from the hot sun.
Living Desert Zoo and Gardens Palm Desert, California is home to this great  Southern California’s family destinations. One of the highlights for kids is the massive toy train layout. Plan on spending the entire day exploring the zoo and gardens.
Santa Ana Zoo - Smaller size zoo featuring a nice train ride and just about the only place around to ride an elephant.  Located in Santa Ana, California just off the interstate 5 freeway. Plan on spending about three hours at this family zoo.
