California Family Destination Guide

The Santa Cruz Boardwalk is an old fashion amusement park located on the beach in Santa Cruz, California. Admission is free all you need to do is buy tickets for the rides.  The main attraction is the world famous Giant Dipper roller coaster. The dipper is certainly not the biggest coaster in California but is defiantly one of the most fun. The Birch Aquarium at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in San Diego is the perfect size for a family trip.  With a perfect location on the cliffs above La Jolla and it’s smaller size younger children will not get worn out. Inside are many different tanks display various aquatic life and one huge 70,000 gallon kelp forest tank. Outside there is a hands-on tide pool area where kids can touch different sea creatures.
