Micke Grove Zoo and Park
Micke Grove Park and Zoo has been around since 1938 when William and Julia Harrison Micke donated the land to the people of San Joaquin County. Micke Grove Zoo has about five acres in the park. Animals in the zoo included mammals, birds and reptiles. For a small admission charge you get quite a bit for your money. Even though its a small zoo it will take you an hour ot two to see all the animals. Micke Grove Park also has a Japanese Garden and is home to the San Joaquin County Historical Museum. Fun Town is another attraction at Micke Grove. This small amusement park has rides that are perfect for small kids plus has a nice train ride. If you pack a picnic a visit to Micke Grove is an affordable place to spend the day. The zoo and Fun Town should be more than enough activity to keep your family entertained all day long.
